World Language Leadership Council

Join the World Language Leadership Council (WLLC)!

The purpose of the World Language Leadership Council is to provide a regular forum for world language educators and administrators to discuss and share their questions, concerns, and suggestions with NYSED.Ìý This Council will also serve as an additional means of communicating information and initiatives regarding world language programs to the field, complementing our professional learning offerings, website, and newsletter.Ìý Teachers of world languages, department chairpersons, administrators who oversee world language departments, and school counselors are welcome to join.Ìý The Council meets virtually (via Zoom) from 3:30-4:30pm once a month from September to June.Ìý Attendance at meetings is voluntary and certificates documenting attendance/CTLE will be awarded following each meeting for those who meet the attendance requirements.

Interested educators should register using thisÌý.ÌýÌýLinks to join the meetings will be sent out on a rolling basis as forms are received.Ìý If you are already a member of the World Language Leadership Council, you do not need to re-register each year.Ìý Your membership in the WLLC continues automatically until you cancel it.

All meetings for 2025-26 school year will be onÌýWednesdaysÌýfromÌý3:30-4:30 p.m.
